Our family would like to express our sympathy for your loss.  Kay grew up in Anamosa during the same era as our parents Nadine and Loras McNamara.  John was our father's uncle.  They always spoke so kindly of Kay, and Dad went out for lunch one day with Kay when she was passing through Anamosa a few years ago.  Both of our parents passed away this past year, Dad in February, and Mom in October. It is so very hard to let our treasured ones go.  The obituary is beautiful.  May you hold all of your memories close to your heart.

With deep sympathy ,
The families of Nadine and Loras McNamara.  (Thomas, Jerry, Dave, Dan. Linda and Therese)

Kay McNamara Pote was truly a leader for our entire class - not only the Majorette of the marching band and the choir but for the plays and the operettas!  What a woman.  Tall and beautiful and very, very talented.  We had a 70th high school reunion last May, but Kay was unable to attend. Only six class members remained. We missed her very much.  The 1949 Class of Anamosa High School sends it sincere condolences to Kay's beautiful family for having shared this marvelous woman with us throughout high school years.
