|I am very saddened to hear of the passing of my colleague and mentor. I was assigned to Memorial Hospital my last two years of medical school, followed by my Family Medicine Residency and then private practice. It took several years for me to decipher his handwriting but by the time I graduated from my residency I had it down. Bob brought an expertise of care for infectious disease that was unmatched. I have more than one patient that is alive due to Bob Hunts's commitment and compassion to the patient. He will be missed.|

|I am sorry to learn of the passing of Dr. Hunt. During my time at SJRMC, (1993-2006), I had many encounters with him. As a Discharge Planner, I rarely had to decipher his orders, but was able to enjoy his company at lunch as he often joined my colleagues and I in the hospital cafeteria. There followed many lively discussions of current events. I liked hearing his perspective and took pleasure in trying to make him grin.
Though feared by some, he was admired by many. I shall remember him fondly and with a smile.
