Dorothy Irene Roberts, 86, of Mishawaka, IN died at 9:50 a.m. Friday, December 28th at Golden Living/Fountainview surrounded by her loving family.  Dorothy was born May 31, 1932 in Pavillion, NY to the late Esther Marie-Margaret (Kelly) and Leo W. Francis and has lived in the South Bend area since 1968.  On February 21, 1953, Dorothy married Raymond L. Roberts who preceded her in death in 1996.  She is survived by six daughters, Catherine Ann Marie Stokes (Ed) of Hopewell Junction, NY, Dorothy (Dottie) I. Roberts of Louisville, KY, Jackie Roberts Keszei (Vince) of Portage, MI, Lisa K. Roberts Davis (Reynaldo) of Indianapolis, Maureen Y. Roberts Tindall (Mike) of South Bend and Christina V. Roberts of South Bend; two sons, Jeff A. P. Roberts of South Bend and Patrick T. Roberts of Wheatfield, IN; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by three sons, Raymond L. Roberts, Daniel R. Roberts, and Kevin D. Roberts; and her siblings, Marie Popino, Patricia Parise, Betty Albers, and Leo, Kenneth, Robert, and Ronnie Francis.

“Our mother’s legacy is one of loving kindness. She implanted her immense, boundless love for Jesus Christ into everyone she met. She was the truest embodiment of God’s love & grace we know. We will miss you, mom. See you round like a donut when we greet you in heaven.”

    The family will receive friends to celebrate Dorothy’s life on Sunday, December 30th, 2018 from 2:30 until 3:30. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, December 30th in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd. with her son, Patrick T. Roberts officiating.  Cremation will follow with burial at Sumption Prairie Cemetery next to her beloved husband.

I will always remember your mother’s beautiful smile, her gentle manner, her love of reading, and her faith. I always looked forward to seeing her at Mass and at Rosary services. May God surround Dorothy and your family with His love.
