Jordan R. Schwind

February 4, 1988 – November 1, 2018

Jordan R. Schwind, 30, of South Bend died unexpectedly on Thursday, November 1. Jordan was born February 4, 1988 in South Bend to Pamela E. (Svatos) and Bruce D. Schwind and was a lifetime area resident. He is survived by his parents; his son, Liam Robert of Goshen, who he was at his happiest to be with and who loved him back unconditionally; his devoted sweetheart, Gabrielle Blake of South Bend with whom he had future plans; his sister, Kaley E. King (Gabriel) of Durham, NC; his paternal grandmother, Catherine Smith of South Bend; aunts, Vickie Davidson (Mike) of Mooresville, IN, Brenda Graf (Mike) of South Bend, Janet Schwind of South Bend, Carolyn Karczewski (Richard) of Grove City, OH, Susan Ivy (William) of Mishawaka, IN; and uncles David Schwind (Jodi) of Carmel and Anthony Svatos (Tara) of Granger, IN. He was preceded in death by uncles Douglas Schwind and Carl Svatos, Jr.

Jordan lived life to its fullest during the short time he was here, loving his large family and his many friends old and new. Jordan loved the outdoors, especially camping and Frisbee golf, and took pride in his health and fitness. More than anything Jordan had an extraordinary talent to make people laugh in his own unique, creative way. He will be greatly missed and our memories of him will always be cherished. Jordan will forever be loved by those who were close to him.

A gathering to celebrate Jordan’s life will be held Friday, Nov. 9, from 4-7 pm at the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd., South Bend.

My heart goes out to Pam,Bruce, and Kaley. I’m so sorry for your loss. Jordan was like a brother to me and you guys always made me feel like apart of the Schwind family. I couldn’t ask for a better friend or second family growing up. Still in shock this happened... but I will forever love all of you as if you were my own family.

Our hearts are breaking for you as you mourn Jordan. I will always remember him standing at the altar with Gabe and Kaley, and watching Liam run with the ring towards them, and then Liam leaping into Jordan's arms. He loved you all so much!
