 Helen Esther Steinhilber
She was born April 13, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Harry O. and Margaret B. Wilson and, since 1945, lived most of her life in the Michiana area.
On September 3, 1955 in Berrien Springs, MI she married Don Steinhilber, who survives. She is also survived by two sons, Don (Leona) Steinhilber of Hendersonville, TN and David Steinhilber of Midland, MI. Four Grandchildren, Stefanie (Adam) Shick of Hendersonville, TN, Jeffrey (Abby) Steinhilber of Nashville, TN and Thomas and Kenneth Steinhilber of Midland, MI. Two great-granddaughters, Carmen and Adriana Shick of Hendersonville, TN. Two great-granddaughters, Bristol and Renee Steinhilber of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by two sisters, Margaret (Lloyd) Williams of Berrien Springs, MI and Anna May (Frederick) Conelley of Liberty Township, OH and a brother, Harry (Bette) Wilson of Rowlett, TX.
Helen was a 1951 graduate of Berrien Springs High School. She had been employed by St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Associates Investment Company and several retail stores in the South Bend area and in North Carolina. Included among these outlets were Brown’s Sporting Goods, Max Adler Company and Milady Shop.
She was an active member of Evangel Heights United Methodist Church with particular contributions of time and talent in planning and managing aspects of the annual bazaar. She was a member of the Bible Study Fellowship and several bridge clubs. She also was active as a volunteer in the area; most recently at the College Football Hall of Fame.
Helen was a people person who was everyone’s friend. But the focus and pride of her life was her family; particularly her two sons and their families. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday November 20, 2017 at Evangel Heights United Methodist Church114 N. Ironwood Dr. with Rev. Dr. Patrick Somers officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Berrien Springs, MI. Friends may visit with the family Sunday November 19, 2017 in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North 17033 Cleveland Rd from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Helens family wishes to express appreciation for the professional, loving care Helen received from Morningside Nursing and Memory Care Center employees, Dr. Susan Moore-Riesbeck and Southern Care Hospice.

To the Steinhilber Family,
It was a pleasure to have known Helen whom I met and worked with many years ago at SJRMC. Helen was a beautiful, sincere, and fun loving person all of the time. Her memories will last forever.
My deepest condolences to the family.
