Martha L. Austin, 73, passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 in North Richland Hills, Texas. She was born January 19, 1937 in Cassopolis, MI to the late George and Lavon Smith. Martha is survived by her husband of 54 years, Russell D. Austin; daughter, Susan and her husband Tom Osborn; son, Scott and his wife Tammy Austin; grandchildren, Laurie, Jamie, Ty, Wade, and Kirstin; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Carl and Ivan Smith. Martha moved to North Richland Hills in 1989 and was a member of St. Philip Presbyterian Church, North Richland Hills and VFW Post #360 Auxiliary of Mishawaka for many years. Cremation has taken place in Texas. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 5th at St. Philip Presbyterian Church. Friends may gather locally with the family on Monday, November 8th in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd. from 10:00 a.m. until leaving for graveside services which will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, in Smith Chapel Cemetery, Edwardsburg, MI.
