Robert E. Norman

January 8, 1934 – March 31, 2014

Robert (Bob) Norman, 80, of Cassopolis, MI, and Yalaha, FL, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 31, 2014. Born in Kane, Pennsylvania to Robert and Kathryn (Brokaw) Norman, he spent his early years in Smethport, Pennsylvania. After graduation from high school, he moved to Rochester, N.Y. for work and further schooling. From 1953-56 he served in the military with assignments in Chicago and Germany. He graduated from Purdue University in ’62 and ’64 with degrees in industrial engineering and industrial management. He spent 30+ years at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, N.Y. in various staff and supervisory positions. Active in Baptist churches wherever he lived, he was blessed by God in many ways. He enjoyed traveling, camping, and models trains.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara (Bobbi); daughters, Andrea Posey (Clif) of San Angelo, Texas and Kristen Haigh (Michael) of Dallas, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Isabeau, Alex, and Bastian Posey.

A Memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd. Pastor Peter Jones of Mishawaka First Baptist will officiate. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. Any gifts in his memory may be directed to Mishawaka First Baptist Church, 724 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
