Jane Marie Niblick

Jane Marie Niblick, 91 of St. Cloud, FL. formerly of South Bend passed away Friday July 16, 2010 in Osceola Health Care Center in St. Cloud.  Born December 19, 1918 in South Bend to the late Raymond and Edna (Gorney) Humberger. Also preceding her was a brother Don Humberger in 2008.  On October 31, 1936 in Plymouth she married Ralph Niblick who died April 30, 1990.  She is survived by her daughter Rita (William) Harvey of St. Cloud, FL. She and Ralph owned the Ranco Fuel Oil Co. from 1954- 1974.  She received the “George” award from the Mishawaka Enterprise-Record newspaper and also received the “Gold Lady” Award from the St. Joseph County Mental Health Association for over 2000 hours of Volunteer service at Beatty Memorial Hospital.  In 1984 the Indiana Chapter of the National Association of Social workers awarded her with the “Citizen of the Year”.  In 1965 she organized the “Primettes” a group of housewives and mothers who joined together to perform variety shows for charity.  She wrote all the original scripts for the performances and acted as the Mistress of Ceremonies.  A heartfelt appreciation goes to this group who gave so unselfishly of their time.  The primettes preformed for more than 20 years and entertained thousands.  She loved to travel and in 2005 she moved to St. Cloud, FL.

She was an avid Euchre player and enjoyed a very active lifestyle.  She was well-Known for her quick sense of humor and was a wonderful cook.  She will be missed. 

The family celebrates the incredible 91 years of life and accomplishments that she was privileged to enjoy.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 22, 2010 in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home 521 N. William St. with Rev James Campbell officiating and burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
