Margaret Louise Ruszkowski

February 17, 1917 – September 12, 2011

Margaret L. Ruszkowski, 94, of South Bend, passed away Monday, September 12, 2011 in her residence. Margaret was born February 17, 1917 in South Bend, to the late Walter and Mae (Ross) Plumbeck. On May 27, 1950 in South Bend, Margaret married Chester Ruszkowski, who passed away in 1993. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jay Nash, grandson, Michael Krueger, son-in-law, David Krueger, sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Carl Jacobs, and brother, Ross Plumbeck. She is survived by her daughters, Lois Mae (Karl) Schwab of Warren MI; and Diana Krueger of South Bend, sons, Dennis Nash of Pontiac, MI and David Ruszkowski of South Bend, fourteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Billie Nash of Mishawaka, and sister-in-law, Ruth Plumbeck, of Lydick.  Margaret had worked at Robertson’s department store and Koszegi Industries. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am. Friday, September 16, 2011 in Lydick United Methodist Church, 26510 W. Edison Rd. South Bend, with Pastor James Toole and Rev. Richard Siri officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family 4 till 7:00 pm Thursday, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. and one hour prior to services on Friday at church. In Margaret’s memory, contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice, 111 Sunnybrook Ct.
