Lloyd Roland Milliken, 89, of Granger died at 5:12pm, Tuesday, December 25th in his home surrounded by his loving family.  Lloyd was born January 2, 1929 in Mishawaka to the late Alta (Name) and Ernest Milliken and was a lifetime area resident.  On October 13, 1950 in South Bend he married Lucille M. Goodsell who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Brenda L. Milliken of South Bend and Rhonda J. Miller (Ike) of Valdosta, GA; two sons, Bruce A. Milliken (Heather) of Portland, OR and Randy L. Milliken (Michelle) of Lafayette, IN; eight grandchildren, Brian Cutaia (Autumn), Brett (Rachel), Beau, and Blake Milliken, Andrew and David Pawlowski, and Richard and Hannah Milliken; and four great-grandchildren.

Lloyd was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Korean War where he was based at Fort Knox, KY.  Lloyd along with Lucille were entrepreneurs, who started Michiana Midget Motors which sold small engine products ranging from go-karts to mini-bikes. In 1976, he changed the name to Target Distributing and focused on wholesale distribution across the U.S. He sold the business and retired in 1991. After selling, they were able to enjoy traveling across the globe with Edgerton Tours to many unique destinations.

After selling Target Distributing, Lloyd enjoyed volunteering his computer skills with Potawatomi Zoo, Special Olympics and SCORE.  His favorite sport was enjoying a round of golf with family and friends and played in the MDA Tournament annually.

    Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29th in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd.  Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends on Saturday from Noon until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m.
