 Adoria W. “Dori” Sharp
August 26, 1927 – February 2, 2018


Adoria W. “Dori” Sharp, 90, of South Bend died Friday, February 2nd in Briarcliff. Dori was born August 26, 1927 in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Audrey (Biddle) and Raymond L. Waters and had lived in South Bend since 1955. On August 28, 1948 in Fort Wayne she married Samuel M. Sharp who preceded her in death in 1999. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Lewis Waters. She is survived by her son, Andrew M. Sharp (Jo) of South Bend; her daughter, Janet Streich (Rick) of Verona, WI; three granddaughters, Kelly, Molly, and Adrian (Tim); and three great-granddaughters.
Dori was very involved with the Northern Indiana Center for History for whom she gave tours through Copshaholm. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mishawaka, AT Chapter of the PEO Sisterhood, and Beiger Trust Fund Committee which helped elderly women in Mishawaka who were in financial difficulty. She was also involved as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and helped deliver books to shut-ins. Everyone knew her as the sweetest person that they had ever met and she truly was an earth angel.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 8th in the chapel of First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Third St., Mishawaka. Cremation has taken place with entombment to be at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 7th from 4 until 7 p.m. in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., South Bend.
