Frederick A. Neuliep

Frederick A. Neuliep, 85, of South Bend, passed away in his home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Frederick was born November 3, 1926, in Valparaiso, Indiana, to the late John and Martha Neuliep. He was also preceded in death by his son, James Neuliep. On December 18, 1948 in Chesterton, Indiana, Frederick married Norma (Griffin) who survives. Also surviving are his sons, Jack (Kitty) Neuliep, of Westville, IN and Steven (Tamara McIntosh) Neuliep of Asheville, NC, and daughter, Sandra (Chris) Freeman, of Dallas, TX. Fred served in the 6th Infantry Division with the U. S. Army. He made education his career as a teacher, coach and school principal. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, woodworking, and being with family and friends. Visitation will be held at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, South Bend, from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 8th. Funeral services will be held at Lydick United Methodist Church, on Saturday June 9th at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. James Toole officiating. Cremation will be held at Welsheimer Crematory. Private burial will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Lydick United Methodist Church, 26510 W.
