Bruce A. Stahl

Bruce Allen Stahl, 52, of South Bend died quietly at 11:50 a.m. Saturday, March 24th in Memorial Hospital following an extended stay. He had been residing at Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation having battled debilitating medical issues for a number of years. A lifetime resident, Bruce was born October 7, 1959 in South Bend to Wilma A. (Vail) and Howard S. Stahl, both of whom survive. Also surviving is his sister, Debra Miller and her husband Jon of South Bend; and his brother, Walter Stahl also of South Bend. Bruce was a kind soul who knew it would be a fight to endure his affliction and did so bravely, always hoping for better days. He will be missed but his spirit will live on in those he touched. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 30th in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 915 N. Olive St. with Rev. Tina Velthuizen officiating. Committal services and burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. A luncheon at the church will be served after the committal services. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 29th in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N.
