Gregory P. Jenks
September 25, 1959 – March 7, 2012
Gregory Paul Jenks, 52, of South Bend died at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, in Hospice House, South Bend following a lengthy illness. He was born September 25, 1959 in South Bend to Joann (Miller) and Larry L. Jenks and was a lifetime area resident. He is survived by his daughters, Paulita Hernandez (Jerry) of South Bend and Michele Wilson (Ryan) of Rector, AR; son, Jeremy L. Jenks of South Bend; 11 grandchildren; his parents, Joann Schmnidt (Bob) and Larry L. Jenks (Nancy) both of South Bend; his siblings Julie Jenks and Jeffery Jenks both of South Bend; his step-sisters, Tina Hawrys (Dennis) of Edwardsburg, MI and Tammy Gould of South Bend; and three nieces and two nephews. Greg was employed as a fabricator and welder for Oil Express, Koch Materials and Whiteford Trucking. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his special cousin, Marcia Malicki who was a special care giver to Greg and also the staff at the Center for Hospice Care. A private family gathering and service will be held at the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd. with special family friend Rev. Russell D. Snyder officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice Care, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN, 46637.
