Theodore D. Lisek, Jr.

Theodore Donald Lisek, Jr., 79, of South Bend died Monday, April 9th in Memorial Hospital. He was born November 1, 1932 in South Bend to the late Regina (Lodyga) and Theodore J. Lisek and was a lifetime area resident. On May 31, 1958 in South Bend he married Catherine Raymond who preceded him in death March 26, 2006. He was also preceded in death by his infant daughter, Terri; sister, Cynthia Lisek; and brothers, Thomas and David Lisek. He is survived by two daughters, Judy Good (Robert) and Karen Simmons both of South Bend; son John Lisek of South Bend; four grandchildren, Jessica Ginther (Carl), Andrew Lisek, Robert Good, and Mary Lisek; one great-granddaughter, Madisyn Ginther; sister, Joan Kling of South Bend; and his lifelong friend, Richard Kwieran. Ted was employed by Great Northern Distributors for 18 years and had also worked for the Bendix Corp. and retired from the Indiana Toll Road after four years. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and a past member of the Holy Name Society of the church. He was an avid fisherman and thoroughly enjoyed a good western movie. One of the greatest pleasures in his life was to be a proud “Papa Ted” to his great-granddaughter Madisyn. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Robert King and nurse Mary for their wonderful care. Funeral services with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 13th in Riverview Cemetery. Entombment will follow.
